In this informative session we will learn important steps needed to protect our “Cyber Identities.” We will assess the challenges of improving personal cybersecurity and evaluate password best practices, including how to create a powerful password that is easy to remember, and how to utilize a password manager, authenticator apps, and more.
About the Presenter: Trevor Roycroft, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus at the J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies at Ohio University. He has thirty-five years of experience in the telecommunication and information technology fields. His teaching and research have focused on privacy, regulatory policy, and the economics of the telecommunication and information technology industries. In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Roycroft has filed testimony, reports, and affidavits in over 100 proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission, state regulatory commissions, the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission, and in state and federal courts.
